Location: Home > Bay Lake > Treasure Island Treasure Island Treasure Island was the new name for Discovery Island. It was an island in the middle of Bay Lake near to the Contemporary resort. The island was pirate themed to tie in with the Treasure Island book and movie. During the lead up to the release of 'The Rescuers' movie, Disney had a contest where guests could win a chance to dig the island for a $25,000 diamond buried on the island.
