Future World, as the name implies, is where the latest in technology and innovation is put on display for guests. From high speed thrill rides to underwater exploration, Future World has plenty to do and see. Future World is at the entrance of the main gate at Epcot with Innovations East and West at the center. The monorail also makes a tour around the area with guests going to the park.

The area has had a lot of changes through the years with new pavilions added and old pavilions demolished. The area was also rumored to be named 'Discoveryland' with the 'Project Gemini'. This was simply just a rumor that was never true. It would have make the area less on innovation and more on discovery.

Many of the pavilions in Future World have companies sponsor them. The sponsor companies also have VIP rooms for their employees who visit their pavilion. Pavilions without sponsors often have uncertain futures. Horizons closed down soon after GE pulled its sponsorship. Wonders of Life also has been operating seasonally, till this past year, since MetLife quit sponsoring the pavilion.[2]
