Journey into Imagination was the name of the current Imagination! pavilion when Epcot opened. It was changed to Imagination! for the Millennium Celebration and to be more in line with the Imagination Institute theme.^[2]

The pavilion opened with Epcot but its ride didn't open until 1983 (1983).
