The World Showcase has 11 pavilions placed around the World Showcase Lagoon. The countries, listed in clockwise order are Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States of America, Japan, Morocco, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Norway and Morocco opened later while the rest opened with the park. Each country has shops and dining that represents the country they are hosted by. Many of the cast members in the pavilions are actually from that country. Each of the countries also are sponsored and paid for the country that it represents. Tourism brochures are also available at each of the countries. Russia, Spain and Israel never made it past the planning phase since the countries declined to fund them. Equatorial Africa was also planned but never built and won't be since Disney's Animal Kingdom opened.
The World Showcase is usually open till closing but opens around 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This was done for cost saving.
The second entrance to Epcot is located between France and United Kingdom and is known as the International Gateway which leads to the hotels such as the Swan and Boardwalk.
